COPYWRITING FOR INVITATION, WEBSITE, PROMOTIONAL ITEMS, AND CASE STUDY VIDEO
In the canon of the HBO series True Blood, Tru Blood is a beverage vampires can drink as an alternative to feeding on humans. The Tru Blood beverage was released as a promotional product. My Art Director partner and I created a campaign for an event celebrating the release of the drink, and ultimately fuel interest in the show.
The party invite is sent to select media professionals and drive them to register on a microsite.
The HBO series didn’t explore the background of how Tru Blood was created in full detail, so I wrote a backstory for the inventor of the food
supplement beverage and featured it on the microsite. There’s a teaser on the site for a short film covering this backstory, which is featured
entertainment at the event.
Once registered a packet is sent to guests with their ticket and a series of coasters with Tru Blood inspired cocktail recipes.
After the event attendees are sent a gift and given a website login for exclusive content on the show.
